Gina was born December 16, 1981 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gary Robert and Susan Maxwell Langston. She was the best early Christmas present ever!! She died August 23, 2022 in her home at the age of 40, after an almost eight year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Gina married Rudy Samuel Gonzales Jr. on December 2, 2005. Together they built a beautiful family and have four amazing children, Izaiah (20), Tre’ (16), Mia (13) and Sophie (9).
Gina was proud to be a homemaker and loved caring and cooking for her husband and children. She enjoyed getting together with her extended family and especially with her nieces and nephews, they hold a special place in her heart. She loved gardening, flowers and maintaining a beautiful yard. Her love of animals was very apparent because of the 2 dogs, 3 cats, bearded dragon and tropical fish that she spent countless hours taking care of. She loved playing sports, attending and participating in her children's sports as well. She loved making crafts that she could use to make her house the home it is. Although her time here was too short, we are grateful for having her in our lives.
Gina is survived by her husband, children, her mother, three brothers and one sister, Gary (Jen), Michelle (James), Kyle (Aisilinn), Blair (Ginny); two half brothers and a half sister, Brad Langston, Lori Wardle and David Langston. She is preceded in death by her father, Gary and grandparents William and Elsie Langston and Ellis and Delores Maxwell.
We would like to thank Gina’s other family for the past eight years, her oncologist Dr. Carl R. Gray and his wonderful staff for their dedicated, compassionate and tender loving care. She spent numerous hours having chemo and other procedures there and although it was the last place she wanted to be, they made her comfortable and treated her with the utmost respect.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 2:00pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84106. Prior to the service, a viewing will be held from 12:30-1:45.
