Gloria Bardsley (1/11/1932- 12/31/2018,) beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and aunt, died peacefully at home waiting to ring in the New Year with her two cats curled up on her lap. Born on the kitchen table in Centerfield, Utah, to Ronald and Delta Viola Christensen, Gloria gained her Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University, and her Master’s Degree from Virginia Tech. Gloria retired from Washington-Lee High School (Arlington, Virginia,) after a long career teaching business and accounting. She spent her school holidays traveling the world with friends, bringing home to Salt Lake City her photographic memories to share with the family. Other than travel, Gloria spent her time with her family, and was especially proud of being an original “Crazy Cat Lady” to her many feline friends over the years, and helping to raise her niece Nikki in Virginia. Preceded in death by both of her parents, Gloria is survived by brother Stanford Ronald Bardsley (Patricia,) sister Lois Jean Bardsley Bird, nieces and nephews Brian Bardsley (Gloria,) Lori Bardsley Brown (Brian,) Nicole Bird Berlin-Steiman (Samuel,) Chelly Bird, Brett Bardsley (Alison,) and many great-nieces and nephews. Gloria was lovingly cared for by Ashley Woolboy, Kailee Jackson, Laicie Mortensen. and Meranda Staley. A family viewing/memorial service will be held Friday, January 4, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, followed by a graveside dedication.
