Helen Louise Rogers Beardshall was born in August of 1928 to Willard and Dorothy Shepard. She passed away peacefully on December 21, 2015. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Helen graduated from South High School and attended four years at the University of Utah. She was married to David Lowell Beardshall on August 26, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Helen was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, and served in various capacities in the Church. With her husband, she served as a missionary in Hawaii, Arizona, and Indiana. Helen persevered through much tribulation to give birth to three children, and dedicated her life to being a loving mother and supportive wife. Being an only child, she took pride in her posterity and left a legacy of optimism, courage, and strength. She supported her husband in his business activities as well as many callings in the Church. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel with her family.
Helen is survived by her husband, David, and children; Roger (Joanne) Beardshall, Rob (Elaine) Beardshall, and Melanie (Steve) Poulsen, as well as 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
