They will be so happy to be reunited again along with their beloved dog Allie, who was always by his side.
He is survived by his daughters Sydney Morganson (Bruce), Lesley Christiansen (Doug), Patsy Law (Mark) and Sonja Carroll (John). He has 17 grandchildren, their spouses and 47 great grandchildren and his brother Folke.
He grew up in Stockholm. His mother was blind and his father died when he was 3, therefore he spent 8 years in a boys home but looked forward to spending summers with Erik and Marta and their 2 children on their farm. They considered him as one of their own. He learned his love of carpentry from Erik. This was the happiest time in his childhood. At 17, he joined the Swedish Army and served 4 years. He immigrated to the US in 1948 to marry Betty Stoker in the Salt Lake Temple May 12, 1948. They were married for 68 years. He worked for Walgreens for a brief time before starting work at Mountain Bell, from which he retired after 33 years in 1983. They lived in SLC, Loa, Ogden & Huntsville until they moved to Millcreek in 1962.
Dad loved working as scoutmaster in Ogden for many years. He loved Yellowstone, the Uinta's and their trip to Alaska and Hawaii. He loved camping, fishing, hiking, gardening and working around the house. He was happiest when working in his workshop. He could fix anything, make anything new again, make furniture from scratch, big or small. He made beautiful inlay pictures and miniature houses complete with handmade furniture, for which he won many awards.
A special thank you to Cameron, his nurse for 4 years. Thank you to Brighton Hospice for their care.
Due to his wishes, there will be no funeral. A viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial, 3401 South Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah, Sunday, August 5th from 11 until noon.
