Ida-Lee Willardsen Reaveley age 82 passed away surrounded by her family on February 10, 2024, after a short illness. She was born June 8, 1941, in Ephraim Utah to Howard and Marzetta Willardsen. She graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in Education. She met and married the love of her life Clyde Joseph Reavely December 27 1962 in the Manti Temple. Ida was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held a variety of callings throughout her life. Joe and Ida served an 18-month humanitarian service mission.
Ida is a ball of energy. She started running at the age of 45 and proceeded to complete 26 marathons; the final at age 68 with three of her grandchildren. Ida made life-long friendships with the running group, The Generation Gap. They traveled all over the United States logging miles and making memories. In addition to running, Ida and Joe loved making memories with their children. They loved all things skiing; both snow and water. Family favorite vacations included trips to Bear Lake, Lake Powell, and camping with "The Green Camper” (those who know - will know).
Ida’s greatest gift was loving others. Everyone she met felt her love; each believing they were her favorite. Ida was everyone’s personal cheerleader, confidant, and most-liked lunch date. As a mother of five, her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the entire neighborhood. She had many talents; a beautiful writer, pianist, quilter, teacher, homemaker, and stay-at-home mom. Later, she worked as an office manager for a group of physicians.
Ida cherished her five children, husband, grandchildren (19), and great-grandchildren (34.7). In turn, her children adored her and felt so blessed to have her as their mother. She taught us the gospel, shared her testimony, and led by example. Her advice at end of life was “Love the Lord.”
She is survived by her sister Trudy (Kimbal) Bailey, Brother Steven (Cheri) Willardsen, 4 daughters, Jan (Jodie)Harris, Cyndi (Darren) Caldwell, Andrea (Darin) Curtis, Jolene (Geoff) Towers, daughter-in-law Mindy Aitken and bonus daughter Izzy (Carlos) Cerrudo. Ida is preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, son Clyde David Reaveley, and grandson Clyde Jason Reaveley.
Services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary on Saturday, February 17, 2024, 3401 S Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106. Visitation from 11:30-12:45, service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to fivepminus.org/donate/ in honor of Ida’s special needs granddaughter Taylor.
