Paul was born and raised in the Salt Lake City Valley and raised his family in the Holladay community. He was a proud graduate of the University of Utah in Chemistry with later specialization in the field of Toxicology. He spent his career as a Toxicologist at ARUP, Associated Regional and University Pathologists, the medical and research lab associated with the University of Utah.
Paul was deeply devoted to serving within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He proudly completed a mission to Austria where he learned German and a great love for the European Saints, he held numerous positions within the church including Young Men’s President, Elder Quorum President, Ward Financial Clerk, Silverado Branch President, Stake Clerk, Executive Stake Secretary and a Salt Lake Temple Veil worker for over 30 years.
Paul and Linda have loved traveling to support their children and create wonderful family memories, the most common destinations included Disneyland, grandchildren, and the Hawaiian Islands. Paul and Linda created many adventures traveling to the islands, with his favorite time spent in the lush natural environment of Kauai. Every time he returned with additional macadamia nut chocolates, art, and a deeper knowledge of the island.
Of all of Paul’s titles, the one he valued most was as a father and later “papa” to his eight grandchildren. Paul was blessed to meet the love of his life at the University of Utah and marry her in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 15th, 1974. They built a life of joy and service welcoming 3 daughters, Tamara Wagner, Angie Billy, and Laura Anderson, 3 sons-in-law, Brady Wagner, Darryle Billy, and Spencer Anderson, and deeply loved grandchildren, Malcolm, Piper, Annie, Jacob, Abbie, Preston, Isabelle and Ruby.

A morning viewing will occur Monday, August 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 4366 S. 1500 E., Salt Lake City, UT 84124. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 4366 S. 1500 E., Salt Lake City, UT 84124. An interment will occur Monday, August 19, 2024 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106.
