Jason Barry Jensen, aka JJ was 38 years old when he passed away on December 23, 2013 in Salt Lake City of natural causes. He was born on August 5, 1975 in Yokosuka, Japan to Barry C. Jensen and the late Vicki Lee Waterlyn. He graduated from Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Maryland and spent the next three plus years at Ricks College in Idaho. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Tennessee. His testimony was strong and he loved the Lord and His teachings with all his might.
JJ had an infectious laugh and was always ready with his quick wit and an appropriate joke. He enjoyed computers, movies and lived life like he rode his motorcycle: fast and loud - taking each curve with ease and an enormous smile.
Outside of Oreos and milk, nothing was more important to him than family, friends or the stranger just met. No matter the time, how he was feeling, what he was doing, or his personal condition he was ready and willing to give of himself.
His heart was made of gold, so precious and innocent. He enjoyed the simple things in life, saw this world for the beauty in it, was willing to please and console strangers, friends and family. He simply wanted to bring peace, comfort and happiness to everyone. He was like a five year-old in a 38 year old body.
As a friend of his posted when he learned of his passing: "Second star to the right, and straight on till morning. I'll miss you, Jason.” We will miss you also Jason but we know you are in a better place in the loving arms of your mother who passed 16 years earlier.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. Friends and family may visit Saturday from 9:30-10:45 AM.
