Joyce G. Moody

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dorthy and Dale Prince on October 31, 1947. She attended Evergreen Jr. High and Skyline High School. She married Jerry (Turk) Moody on October 14, 1963, in Malad, Idaho.

Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her beautiful smile and laugh were contagious. She always made everyone around her feel loved.

She retired from Avnet Inc. after 26 years of service as an office manager. She was loved by her Avnet family.

Joyce is survived by her husband; daughters, Jodi (Ken) Payne and Jeannie (Brian) Meikle; grandchildren, Brianna (Matthew Christensen), Melissa (Fiance, Graidan Christensen), and Bryant; sisters, Linda (Rusty) Kiggins and Glenna Herrold (Robert Hall); and sister-in-law, Bonnie Prince.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Val Prince.

She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the nurses, aides, and social workers with Canyons Hospice, as well as the chaplain who attended to Joyce and her family, bringing peace and comfort during such a difficult time.

A morning viewing will be held for Joyce on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, 3820 S. 2000 E. Salt Lake City, Utah 84109. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM, 3820 S. 2000 E. Salt Lake City, Utah 84109. Interment will follow the funeral service on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S. Millcreek, Utah 84117.
