Juanita Drechsel Skolmoski, 88, passed away March 4, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born March 16, 1929 in Ogden, Utah to Gustav & Martha Drechsel. She attended West High School, and later Utah State University & University of Utah. Juanita married Thaddius (Ted) Skolmoski on May 13, 1949 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.
She learned needlework and handwork from her Grandma Janke. She enjoyed knitting, needlework, crochet and sewing. She played the piano and later was taught to play the organ by her daughter, Stephanie, and became the ward organist. She loved to sing with friends and was a member of the Schubert Singers. We are very grateful for the loving care of Tender Care Hospice, especially Juan and his loving kindness in her daily care.
Juanita is survived by her children, Philip Skolmoski (Pamella), Stephanie Skolmoski, Jean Shurtliff (David) & Peter Skolmoski (Danelle), 19 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren
A Viewing on Thursday, March 8 from 6-8 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary (3401 Highland Dr). Graveside services on Friday, March 9 at noon.
