

She was born to William A. Hilton and June Oler Hilton on April 30, 1943 in Salt Lake City. She was educated in Utah schools attending Lafayette Elementary, Forest Elementary, Irving Junior High and Highland High School. She graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S.in Elementary Education and an M.S.in Elementary Education and Social Science. Part of her graduate degree was done at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and at UCLA. While at the University, she affiliated with Phi Mu sorority, Lamda Delta Sigma and was a student advisor in the Residence Halls. She was founder and co-organizer of the Utahnas half-time dance group, now known as the Crimson Line or Utah Dance Group. She co-organized the group with Bobbi Hoge Lilya from Blackfoot, Idaho.
She taught school in Reno, Nevada for two years at Jessie Beck Elementary, one year in Garden Grove, California at Brookehurst Elementary, and thirty-six years in Monterey Park, California at Monterey Highlands Elementary. She loved teaching and all of the students with whom she had the opportunity to associate with.
While living in Pasadena, California, she volunteered in the Emergency Room at Huntington Memorial Hospital for over ten years and then she moved to Glendora, California.
In Glendora, Judy met Wiley Frank Ogle Jr. and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 24, 1996. They moved to Sandy, Utah in 2012.
She loved sewing and made most of her clothes during her life. She also loved playing the piano, reading, ice skating and all kinds of dancing. Her favorite pastime was playing with her sheltie dogs: Katie, Molly, Heidi, Casey and Holly.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and her greatest love was serving as an ordinance worker and trainer in the Los Angeles, California temple for twenty-two years. She also served as an ordinance worker and shift coordinator at the Draper, Utah temple for almost two years. She loved all of the sisters with whom she worked.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband, Wiley Frank Ogle Jr.; her brother, Dr. William R. Hilton (Ronda) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a niece, Amanda Hilton (Bruce Eldridge) of Ely, Nevada; a nephew, Burton Hilton of Ely, Nevada; a nephew, Walker Hilton (Heidi) of Roanoke, Virginia, a grandniece and two grandnephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crescent View Stake Center, 1700 East 10980 South. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 4 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment will take place at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
