Nainoa was born on April 23, 1991 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His parents Kenneth and Rochelle Reaveley felt incredibly blessed to bring him home to Utah when he was a few days old. He brought great joy to their family. Nainoa graduated from Cottonwood High School where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. Nainoa served an honorable mission for the LDS Church in the Texas Fort Worth Mission. He loved his mission and spoke often about his time there.
Nainoa spent many summers in Hawaii. He especially loved Kauai where he enjoyed spending time with family, diving, fishing and camping at Anini Beach.
On November 4, 2014 he married his high school sweetheart Kaelyn June Guenther in the Salt Lake Temple. Nainoa and Kaelyn were side by side in everything they did. Facing this fight against cancer was no different. Kaelyn was there every step of the way. They made the most out of every minute they had together building many happy memories. The love they shared for each other was felt by everyone around them.
Part of growing up for Nainoa was helping to care for his mom as she faced many health challenges. Nainoa had a special relationship with his mother. He loved helping her, especially being her personal chauffeur. His Aunty Kehau also played a large part in his upbringing. He considered her to be a mother figure in his life. She was always there to guide him with unconditional love. Nainoa was very close to his sister Missy. When Nainoa was 4 years old he told his parents he was going to have a sister and just a few months later Missy joined their eternal family. Nainoa and Missy loved to listen to music, watch movies and hang out together. They laughed a lot and always had fun. They were siblings and also best friends.
Through all of his trials Nainoa made the decision to be happy and enjoy life. His decision to do this brought everyone around him happiness. His sweet disposition was a blessing to all who knew him.
Nainoa is survived by his wife Kaelyn and her parents Steve and Rolinda Guenther. He’s also survived by his sister Kaleinani “Missy” Reaveley, grandparents; Larry and Janice Reaveley; Alwin and Odetta Battad and many aunts, uncles and cousins both in Utah and Hawaii.
