Keith Albert Poelman, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on the 22nd of December. He was born to Hendrik and Ella Perkins Poelman at home in Salt Lake City on January 26, 1941. He met his wife, Linda Clark, at Emerson Elementary in the 4th grade. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple August 9, 1963. He lived a life of service as Student body President at Roosevelt Jr. High and at East High. He served missions for the LDS Church in the Netherlands and as President of the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission with his wife. They also served as workers in the Salt Lake Temple where he served as a sealer and they served a mission in the Halifax Nova Scotia Temple. He engaged in extensive family history research finding thousands of ancestors for which his family members performed ordinances and each developed a love of working in the House of the Lord. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ and his service in the Church was extensive.
He graduated in finance from the University of Utah and received an MBA at the University of Michigan. He had a 25 year business career in various industries and a 15 year teaching career at LDS Business College. He served many years in Friends for Sight, a vision protection non-profit. His major blessing in life was the family he and Linda raised together with frequent precious family gatherings and memorable vacations all known as “Fine Outings”. His relationship with each one is a great joy.
Keith is survived by the light of his life, his wife and companion, Linda, their five children Stacy (Clark) Lybbert, Douglas (Mary), Melanie (Todd) Thompson, Amy (Troy) Lunt, Jeffrey (Aunna), 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and his sister Marva. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol Feltch, brothers Ronald, Lloyd and Stuart.
