Lane was born in Roosevelt, Utah, on April 3rd, 1956, to Earl and LeJeuene Dillman. He spent his childhood in Roosevelt until the family relocated to Salt Lake City in 1969. Lane married Rebecca Rowe, his high school sweetheart, on January 16th, 1975.
Lane was an incredibly hard worker throughout his entire life. He was a master electrician and in 1991 started his own electrical company, which he named Dillman Electric, with the slogan "Have Tools, Will Travel." With his persistent drive, Lane built the business up, and its success allowed him to explore his other passion: real estate. He had numerous real estate ventures throughout his life but was most proud of the buildings he helped develop from the ground up, which he continued to help operate until his passing. These business locations span from Sandy, UT, to Draper, UT, and all the way down to Mesquite, NV. Lane also acquired Olde Towne Tavern in 2008 and continued overseeing its operations up until his passing.
When Lane wasn't scouting his next project, he could typically be found on the golf course. Outside of golf, Lane's other favorite activity was hanging out with family and friends. He had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, which made him and his soulmate, Becky, the perfect duo, as she had the greatest laugh this world has ever heard. These two in a room together were the life of any party, and we take comfort in knowing they are together again, laughing and watching over us.
Lane is survived by his sons Joshua, Tyson, and Blake (Bobbie), as well as his precious grandchildren Lincoln, Lawson, and Laynie. Siblings: Drew (Judy) Dillman, Ray Dillman. Preceded in death by: Rebecca Rowe Dillman, Ray E. Dillman, LeJeuene B. Dillman, Debra Dillman Merrill, Robert L. Rowe, Joan Waldram Rowe.
