Lee was born in Salt Lake City Utah to Melba and Orson Neuenschwander. He attended South High School where he graduated and shortly after was drafted into the US Army where he served and spent several years in Germany during the Vietnam War. After returning, he met and married Linda McKee and was sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
Lee worked for many years at Kennecott and later worked for CCI Mechanical for the remainder of his working career which was over 20 years until he retired as their main dispatcher.
Lee enjoyed many things in life. He enjoyed going to Disneyland every chance he got, especially with his children, Brian and Angela. There wasn’t much that Lee didn’t know about Disneyland. It brought a lot of joy to talk about his vacations there. Lee also was a big sports fan which included his favorite team, the Steelers. Lee cherished the many friends that he had throughout his life.
He would always say, “You should be able to count your true friends on one hand.” And that rang very true to him, especially to those that were there for him throughout his life.
Lee was a faithful member of the LDS church where he had several callings and continued to serve throughout his life. Lee loved being a father with all his heart. He also loved being a son and cherished his mother and father. He truly was a great man. Swanney never came across a golf tournament that he wouldn’t watch or a Neil Diamond song that he didn’t know. His sense of humor and wittiness will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Brent and Glen Neuenschwander, mother and father, Melba and Orson Neuenschwander and Linda McKee, his ex-wife. He is survived by both his children, Brian Neuenschwander and Angela Neuenschwander (Jaime Watson).
