She was raised in the small village of Saltair, which was just off of North Temple, about 10 miles west of Salt Lake City. Everyone in the village worked at the Morton Salt Plant. The village was destroyed when Morton Salt moved their plant. She loved school and had many friends. She attended schools in Garfield and Magna including Cyprus High School. She liked to reminisce about riding the bus every day, being a cheerleader, participating in sports, and playing the violin. She also loved summers visiting her cousins in Farmington and Manti.
She met the love of her life, Marvin, at the Saltair Resort. They were both working in the same building serving soda pop and she chased him until he caught her. Some of their happiest memories were of dancing together at Saltair Resort. They had been married over 68 years when she passed away.
She enjoyed swimming and bowling as a young mother. Later in life she developed a strong interest in jewelry and gemstones. She loved her family and family gatherings.
