Lonnie Kemp was born on September 8, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edward Alonzo Kemp and Eva Bennett. His parents were married in the Salt Lake City temple and Lonnie was sealed to them on August 22, 1966.
He married Bonnie Singleton in 1969 and was later blessed with two children, Kathy Griffis and Alonzo L. Kemp.
He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.
When his daughter Kathy passed away, they stepped up to raise their grandchildren Amber and Casey Griffis.
He was a body and fender repairman and loved to race at Rocky Mountain Raceway.
He was very close to his sister Virginia, when he was brought home from the hospital, she thought he was her live baby doll.
He is survived by his grandchildren Amber (Thomas) and Casey (Kylee), sisters Virginia Petersen and Leilani Wiss, four great-grandchildren, two nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, son, his only brother Alvin Bolte, and two nephews.
