Lorna Mockli

1923 ~ 2010

Lorna Steadman Mockli returned to her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, September 21, 2010. She was born August 12, 1923 in West Jordan to William Clifford Steadman and Miriam Hokanson Steadman. She had a younger brother, Owen and sister, Virginia.

While attending Utah State University she met Clyde Emil Mockli. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on October 9, 1952. She and Clyde raised four children, Alison, Salt Lake City; Stephen (Chris), West Jordan; Sue (Michael Phillips), Salt Lake City; Jeri (Darin Stoner), San Diego; and a foster son, Charles Bitsue (Anne), Salt Lake City. She has three wonderful granddaughters, Shannon Mockli, Cherie Mockli and Hannah Stoner. Lorna was active in the LDS Church, she served three missions: Northern States; Illinois, Chicago and Philippines, Manila. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister and loving spouse, Clyde.

She valued her time working at the Better Business Bureau helping people solve problems and providing consumer education. She enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners for the family. The family would like to thank all those who helped Lorna especially the last few months of her life, including her neighbors Kelly and Cory as well as Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday September 25, 2010 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment: West Jordan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.wasatchlawn.com
