From a young age his greatest passion in life was making people laugh. In fact, he is most well known for his wonderfully dry sense of humor, quick wit, and seemingly endless supply of jokes. He also loved music, golfing, video games, and dogs (especially his grand-dogs). For most of his life, he was active in the Boy Scouts of America (now Scouting America) and was even awarded the Silver Beaver.
After graduating from Highland High School, he chose to serve a mission in Austria for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was there that he met the love of his life, Christine. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 25, 1978. Together they raised six children. He received his BSEE from the University of Utah and his MBA from Idaho State University.
He is survived by his wife Christine, his son Eric (Tricia), his daughters Sarah, Jenny (Alan), Becky, Heidi (Ryan), Angela (Marcus), and twelve grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Loyal and Mildred, his sister Rhoana, his brother-in-law Harold, and his nephew David.
