Luleen Shaw Stewart completed her circle of life at the age of 96 on October 31, 2022. She was born on June 5, 1926 in Liberty, Utah to John Ariel Shaw and Sophie Lillias Rhodes Shaw. She was a farm girl, growing up riding horses and helping with the daily chores and activities of farm life alongside her sister and five brothers.
In her words, she had a wonderful life. Not always easy, and with many obstacles, but everything always worked out.
Luleen had many jobs in her life, her last job employed by ZCMI at their warehouse doing receiving and ticketing product until she retired.
She met her husband on a blind date after he returned from World War II serving in the European Campaign. After a short courtship, they were married on September 19, 1946 and had been married just shy of 65 years when George passed away in 2011.
Luleen only had two hobbies: relentless cleaning and shopping. She also had a flair for buying things that were nearly impossible to put together, which always precipitated a standard response from George: "Good God woman, what were you thinking!?"
Luleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband George; son Russell, brothers Russell, Reed (Betty), Blair (Lila), Les, Marriner (Pat); sister Maxine (Ivan, Neil); many nieces, nephews, friends, and her hair. She is survived by son Larry (Sheryl), grandchildren Bree and Kyle Stewart, great-grandson Harrison, sister-in-law Carma Shaw, and many loved nieces and nephews.
