I had a great life made better than I deserved by a wonderful family. My wife Kerry has put up with bad jokes and my bad health for years. I love and appreciate her. My sons, Paul, Rob and Sean, have contributed greatly. We have had many adventures and laughs together. Grandchildren, Parker, Bryce, Jett, Coco and Daisy were perfect. The times spent with them were the stuff of magic. My daughters-in-law Michelle and Janelle made our family complete. I have appreciated the mothers they have been to our Grandchildren.
I have enjoyed my relationship with 5 siblings: Esther. Judy, David, Mercie and Christine.
Then there are the friends; too numerous to mention. If one counts friends as wealth, I have died a wealthy man. I added to my list of friends while serving in the United States Army Reserve for six years. Six of my closest friends were Toby, Kublai Khan, Owlie, Tortuga, Osa and Murphy-all dogs.
I have fond memories of doing a radio show in Salt Lake, writing a few books, creating and producing a network television show in Hollywood and teaching “The History of Rock and Roll” at the University of Utah’s Osher Institute.
Kerry and I have travelled the world. As such, we have shared many unique experiences. I wish to thank her for the many years of companionship and her tender caregiving.
Of course, there have been some regrets and sorrows… but not many.
I have been blessed.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, June 27th at 11:00 am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S Highland Dr., Millcreek, UT 84106. A visitation will take place at the same location from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. I have asked that anyone who wishes can take a brief amount of time to talk about our experiences together. Hopefully there will be enough honest, negative comments to make the whole thing credible.
