Margie Ruth Emery Barlow

Margie was born March 7, 1949, in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Frank Emery and Margie Isabell Lott. Margie graduated from Granger High School in 1967. She married Elroy T Barlow, July 30, 1988 in Elko, Nevada. Margie and Elroy were sealed in marriage in the Salt Lake City Temple December 16, 1992. Margie had an unwavering dedication and devotion to her membership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was her true life’s work.

Margie was a well respected member of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office for 37 years. Margie’s best times were car rides with Elroy, watching movies, a day out with her brother and sister, celebrations with her family, visits from her friends, grandkids, great-grandkids, her children and her extended family. Above all, she enjoyed the conversations and little moments with all those she loved.

Margie is survived by her 5 children; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren from her first marriage. Margie is also survived by 5 children; 11 grandchildren; and 8 grandchildren with her husband Elroy Barlow.

Margie is preceded in death by her son, Bradley Johnson; husband, Elroy Barlow; Stetson Owens and many other loved ones.

A viewing for Margie will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 67 West Clay Park Drive, Murray, Utah 84107, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
