

Marie Robinson Sondrup, age 69, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 27, 2010, in St George, Ut. She was born on August 8, 1940, to Neva Pace and Ross Robinson in Delta, Utah. She attended BYU where she met and married Bruce Humpherys; later divorced. They had one child, Sheri Maria. She later married James L. Sondrup in Salt Lake City, Utah. They later divorced, but remained friends throughout life. Marie was a very talented, beautiful and gifted woman. She loved to do fashion illustration, sing, and was the definition of all things glamorous. She was known for her beauty, style and love of hats. She spent her later life in LaJolla, California. She loved the ocean and the beauty of nature. She had a wonderful laugh and a mischievous sense of humor. She had a very special relationship with her mother, Neva Robinson Smith. They spent much of their life living close to one another and loved to associate together. There is a vacancy in our lives with her passing, but we take comfort in the knowledge that she is now free of earthly pain, illness and sorrow. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her mother, Neva (Ken) Smith of St. George, Utah, daughter, Sheri Maria (Shaun) Houston of Syracuse, Utah, brothers; Bob (Jeannie) Robinson of St. George, Utah, and Steve (Anne) Robinson of Danville, CA, three granddaughters; Heather, Sarah, and Camille Houston, as well as nieces, nephews and extended families. She was preceded in death by her dearly loved father, Ross Robinson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Kolob Care and Rehabilitation of St. George Utah as well as Laura Carver of Home Health Services and Marie's Aunt EvaDean Moody who assisted the family. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held at 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the graveside service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt lake City, Utah.
