While working at Brigham Young University in 1973, she met and married Edwin C. Nordquist, a widower with three grown children. She was devoted to him and often referred to him as “the love of my life.” They lived in Salt Lake City.
Music was a talent she enjoyed and enthusiastically shared throughout her life, serving as the ward organist in various congregations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), of which she was a dedicated member. Snow skiing, square dancing, sewing, gardening, family history, and traveling around the country were all activities that made her happy. She loved being a wife and mother, and serving her family. She and Ed served three LDS missions.
