Mark Huber Easton, 65, passed away at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah on Monday August 30, 2021 due to complications of Covid. Mark was born March 10, 1956 to Donald and Elizabeth (Betty) Easton. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty, and survived by his Father Donald Easton (who then passed away on September 1st) Wife Sharon Easton, Daughter Erin (Andy) Oliverson and Sons Jacob (Ashley) Easton, Spencer (Emily) Easton. Brothers and Sisters, David (Chris) Easton, Julie (Rich) Greggerson, Wendy (Todd) Parker, John (Lynn) Easton, Jeff (Liz) Easton, Amy (Dan) Martinez. At 19, Mark served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Oregon area. Mark and Sharon (Woolley) were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on July 1st, 1978. Mark loved to study the doctrine of the church and share his testimony in both word and deed. Mark served the church in many capacities including several Bishoprics and Stake Presidencies. Mark and Sharon were able to serve a 3 year service mission in guest services for Temple Square and the Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City. Mark also served his community for two terms as a City Councilman in Riverton, Utah. Mark cultivated glorious vegetable gardens, and loved to share the fruits of his labors with family and friends. Food was Mark's love language. His homemade ice cream, pickled beets/cucumbers, Conference waffles and Christmas bacon were family favorites. When you ate with the Easton’s, you never left hungry or without leftovers. Above all, Mark believed in working hard, and never did less than his very best. He dreamed big, aimed high, and worked long and hard. Mark will be missed dearly by his family and friends. We are comforted in the knowledge that families are forever and that Mark is hard at work on the other side of the vail. While the family would appreciate notes of condolence, in lieu of flowers please share a big meal with those you love.
*Out of respect for the nature of Mark's passing, masks are requested for in-person services.
