Martha Evans Kelsey

She was married in the Salt Lake Temple to her high school sweetheart, Kevin Kelsey, on July 11th, 1977 and went on to have six children. They were married for forty-four years and shared a wonderful life together. She excelled early in life by joining the madrigals and prep squad at Highland high school. She later went on to attend the University of Utah and was part of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Martha was passionate about art, a master at cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, scrapbooking, her kids school projects, and was a teacher at Utah Craft for many years. A devoted mother who never missed a school performance, doctor visit, or a time when her children were in need. She loved to travel and always took her children on her adventures across the world. Marty loved everything in the water, including boating, swimming, and cruising. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served and excelled in all her many church callings.

Marty rededicated her life to her seven grandchildren who she loved and spoiled immensely.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kevin, parents; Edmund and Marie Evans, and her sisters Karen Petersen and Stacey Lasson.

She is survived by her brother Edmund (Becky) Evans, and six children, Adam, Randall (Allison), Jonathan, Nathan, Kaitlyn (Matthew), Tyler (Jena) and seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Caroline, Makenzie, Kingsley, Harrison, Evangeline, and James.

Viewing services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S Highland Dr, Millcreek, Utah 84106 on Tuesday June 30, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 5200 S Glendon St Salt Lake City, Utah 84123 on Wednesday July 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing prior to funeral services at 10:00 AM with the burial following at 1:00 PM at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 South Highland Drive).
