Marva Cheney Brown

1925 ~ 2013

Millcreek, Utah-Marva Cheney Brown was born September 19, 1925 in Brigham City to Clinton & Lettie Cheney. Soon after the family moved to SLC where she graduated from South High School and attended LDS Business College. Her first job was working at the family grocery store on Hampton Avenue where she met her future husband. She married Gordon Brown on March 31, 1948. Her children are Doug (Jan), Scott (Marilyn), Susan (Fred) and Richard (deceased). Her grandchildren are Brittney, Krista, Darby, Patrick, Beau, Lexxie & Chandler. Great grandchildren, Maddie, Wiiliam & Ava. Special sister DeLone. She was a secretary at Ft. Douglas, State Capitol, Lincoln Life & retired from ASARCO in 1978. As a young couple, she & Gordon loved to go dancing at the Rainbow Randevu. They enjoyed many fun trips with their friends. She also liked to play bridge with her sisters and girlfriends. She especially cherished the time she spent with her family. They built their home in East Millcreek where they resided for 53 years. Many thanks to the wonderful neighbors, especially the Browns, Dunfords, Egans & Bainsguards. Member of the LDS Church. Private family services will be held.
