McKay V Johnson

McKay Von Johnson passed away gently on February 22, 2019 surrounded in the love of family. He was born in 1940 in Aurora, Utah to Clayola M. Curtis and Von Johnson. He married Nyla Bradley in 1959,(deceased) and Marvel Davis in 1984.

McKay moved from a small town to become an entrepreneur, business owner of Accent Décor Interiors for 50 years. He was a great storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor. He collected antique cars, was a prize gardener, an authority and “doll doctor” for collectors. He enjoyed travel and hosting groups to exciting world destinations but was just as happy sitting by the fire at Maple Grove. McKay loved all things home and family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Marvel Johnson, children Roddy(Suzanne), Robbyn(Charles)Oliver, Rusty(Candace), Casey(Jenny), siblings Royce(Thelma), Chad(recently deceased)(Vernalee), Clarin (Vickie), along with 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife Nyla Bradley, his brother Chad, and his parents Clayola and Von Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1st, 2019 at 10:00am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary located at 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8pm and 9am prior to services.

He will be laid to rest in Aurora, Utah, his childhood home. 366 North 300 West, Aurora, Utah.
