

Milt was born in Salt Lake City on April 7, 1932, the eldest son of Milton Vern and Dorothy Armstrong Halton. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Milt attended Salt Lake City schools, graduating from West High School in 1950. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he was employed by Mountain Bell as a Civil Engineer. Following retirement, he worked as a consultant for the Thomas and Betts company.
Milt loved the outdoors and spending time at his cabin in the beautiful mountains of Utah. He was a fixture in Weber Canyon where he made many lifelong friends over the past 50-plus years - visiting, snowmobiling and working on each other's cabin. Milt was very friendly and social and always knew someone wherever he went. He loved getting together with his family, friends, and retirement group.
Milt is survived by his daughter, Brenda Halton Wilson and son Milton Tyler Halton; seven grandchildren: Daile (Tyler) Farrell, Madelyne Wilson, Bentley Wilson II, Wm. McKinley Wilson, Nathaniel Rock, Nicholas Halton and Matthew Halton. Also survived by his sisters: Sue (Kaye) Valentine, Linda Sevey, Margi Littlefield and sister-in-law Sheryl Halton; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dorothy Leathers, brother Sidney James Halton and brother-in-law Lyman Littlefield.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. dignitymemorial.com/wasatch-lawn-mortuary
