away peacefully on February 26, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 89 years young.
Born on March 22, 1934, Mim led a life defined by warmth, compassion, and unwavering strength. She married Gary McKean Davis on September 3, 1953 and together they raised 5 children. Throughout her life, Mim touched the hearts of countless individuals with her boundless kindness and generosity. She had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around her, whether through her infectious smile, her comforting embrace, or her long chatty phone calls to the ones she loved the most.
Family and friends have always been at the center of Mim’s world, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to nurturing and supporting her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire and uplift her family for generations to come.
Mim was known for her secret chocolate stash, juicy fruit gum, cherry cough drops which her granddaughters thought were candy and her giant cookie jar. She was not shy of hard work and was the proud owner of Fankhauser Jewelry for 42 years where she made many lifelong friendships.
Mim is survived by her husband of 70 years, Gary, her daughters Shauna, Linda Jo (Mike) and Brenda (Mike), 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Mim was preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings, her sons Mike, Ron and son-in-law Greg.
Though she may no longer physically be with us, Mim's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
The family wants to thank Tina, Jenny, Kiara and the hospice team that took such good care of Mim.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary with a visitation beginning at 12:00 PM followed by a tribute and graveside service at 1:00 PM.
