Nancy Berryman Steed

Nancy Berryman Steed was born in 1933 to Utah Oil refinery foreman Thomas Clayton Berryman, and his seamstress wife Lettie Mae Berryman. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Granite High School in 1951. Shortly thereafter she married US Marine Specialist Larry Grant Steed. Larry and Nancy relocated often, living and raising their children in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and California. Ultimately, they settled in Bountiful Utah. The two were inseparable until Larry's death in 2003.

Nancy was her father's daughter. She shared her father's strongly independent disposition, ever engaging life on her own terms, ever commanding the adoration and respect of all around her. As a member of the Episcopal altar guild, she devoted herself to the glory of Christ. At home her passion for beauty in design was surpassed only by her devotion to her many treasured dogs. Queenie, Mugsy, Cassie, Gracie, Bootsie, Josie, and Brynn await her in heaven.

Nancy is survived by her children Wendy and Allan, by her grandchildren Christopher, Kenneth (Ana), and Katherine, and by her adorable dog Molly.

A memorial service will be held Friday June 5, 2026 at 11 am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, UT 84106.
