Neysa Smith

Neysa Moffat Smith peacefully passed away March 26, 2014, from natural causes. She is now at peace and reunited with her husband Joseph Calvin, son Calvin Roy, other family members and our Eternal Father in Heaven.

She was born October 11, 1928 to Roy and Mary Moffat in Laketown, Utah.

She married Joseph Calvin Smith November 13, 1946, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, April 29, 1964. She was a loving, dependable and hard working woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. Her children learned values and respect by the example she showed in her own life. She was the cornerstone to her family.

She is survived by her daughter: Selma (Steve) Mayhew, Michael (Chong) Smith and Neysa Gene Nielson, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday April 1, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may call Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary and at 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. the day of the service. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
