Pace “Mickey” Edwin Lee, age 94, died in his home in Stansbury Park, Utah on September 17, 2021. He was a 1943 graduate of West High School. In 1945 at the age of 19 he enlisted in the Army and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After the war he worked at the Salt Lake Tribune, and attended U of U graduating in 1950 with a B.S. in Accounting.
He then worked at the Tooele Ordnance Depot until 1954 when he moved to Hawaii with an accounting firm, and in short order became a Certified Public Accountant. His endeavors led into partnership with his Aunt Ida Pace in the travel business; which allowed him to explore the world extensively. In 1970, following a series of health setbacks and challenges he took a year long pause from his professional career and immersed himself in religious studies at the LDS Institute of Religion at the University of Utah. He met the love of his life Beverly in Hawaii and they married in 1977.
They moved to Salt Lake City in 1980, and Pace worked for Interstate Brick until going into semi–retirement in 1989, when they relocated to St. George. Pace enjoyed golf and taking road trips with Beverly. He had enthusiasm for learning about the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, the Millennium, and was passionate in his research of the Constitution.
Pace is survived by his Sister Lila Thompson, stepson Brian and daughter-in-law Vera Lucia Harris, granddaughter Lani, six great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Faye and Gloria, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, his grandson Jad Harris, and his brothers Walt, Harry, and Ben.
