He graduated from South High School in 1947 at age 16, and later from the U of U with both BA and MS degrees, and from USU with an Ed.D. degree. During his 33 year career, he taught mathematics at Lincoln Jr. High in Salt Lake City, acted as the Supervisor & Superintendent of Schools in Beaver County, and as an Elementary School Principal in the Granite school district.
Paul married his first wife, Marguerite DeMahis of Brazzaville, French Equatorial Africa, on 8 May, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Though they later divorced in 1958, two children were born to this union: Yolande Lynne AKA Yolande Lynne Clark of Petersburg, Virginia; and Arnold William AKA Arnaud William Clark, of Fort Monroe, Virginia.
He married Doris Jean Armstrong of Franklin, Kentucky for time and all eternity on 14 August, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 43 years of happy married life. Doris departed this world on 31 March, 2003 due to cancer. To them were born four children: Paul Harold Jr. (Kristen) of West Jordan, Utah; Gary Kent (Julie) of West Jordan, Utah; Laurie Anne of Holladay, Utah; and Kimberly Lefevor Hunt (Neal), who passed on 23 October, 2009 from cancer.
Paul married for a third time on 11 September, 2004 to Jewel Ann Spilsbury of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Paul was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a 33 month mission in France; an 18 month senior proselytizing mission with Doris in Greenville, South Carolina; a 2 year senior proselytizing mission with Jewel in Sweden, 16 months of which were spent on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea; and a 2 year senior service mission in the Liberty Eighth Ward in Salt Lake City. He also spent years as a guide at Temple Square, as 2nd counselor in the Olympus 1st Ward bishopric, and as the High Priest Group leader. In addition, he served as an ordinance and volunteer worker in the Salt Lake and Jordan River temples. He was an active genealogical researcher and provided many names for temple work.
Paul served his country for 2 years in the United States Army Corps of Engineers, helping with the construction of pontoon bridges on the Rhine River in Karlsruhe, Germany. While there, he served as an LDS Servicemen's Group leader.
He loved the Lord, his family, the scriptures, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, boating, and traveling across the United States.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Gene Elizabeth, a brother Alfred Melvin and daughter Kimberly.
He is survived by his wife Jewel, with whom he gratefully served in the Salt Lake Temple and two missions; the above listed children; step children: Lisa North Nash (Russell); David North (Josephine); Karin North Schow. From all marriages, a total of 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Yale Ward, 1431 E. Gilmer Dr, Salt Lake City, Utah 84105, on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and the day of from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah.
