Xiao Qing
Devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Qing Yue passed away on October 21, 2011 due to complications from cancer. She was born on September 4, 1962 to Yue, Chi Long and Chi, Yong Hui in Guiyang, Guizhou, China. Qing had one sister, Bing Yue and one brother, Yun Yue. It was important to Qing to become an American citizen, but she remained proud of her Chinese heritage and was extremely close to her family there. After graduating from Guiyang Medical College in China, she worked as a cardiologist at Guizhou Province People’s Hospital until the time she decided to come to the U.S. For many years Qing worked in the medical field at the Reproductive Care Center. She was a valued employee and friend. Qing was married to Miguel Villalona. She and Miguel are the parents of three children: Vincent, Angela and Ana. Many other people were lucky enough to consider Qing a member of their families. An extremely strong bond was formed with the families of Wayne and Karen Milne, Laurel and Wallace Fetzer, and Joan Richards. As a member of the Chinese Christian Church, Qing developed many close friends there, as well. Her vivacious and warm personality drew people to her. Qing was always appreciative of anything anyone did for her and was quick to return the favor. In spite of having many hardships in her life, Qing faced these difficulties with courage and optimism. She was an incredibly strong and independent person. She was a fighter and tried her hardest to remain here for those who loved her. Her passing creates a huge void in the lives of many people. Miguel would like to thank the extended community of Qing’s church for the dedicated care she received in the past four months, and also to her close friends: Wu Yuan (Joy), Lin Rong Chen and Qiong Cai, Gong Ping He and Zhu Ma, Qiang Dai and Shuping Lai, Guo Lan, Victor Wang, Zhao Ling and Bill Jiang, Ying Hong Yang, Ya Lan Feng, Da Lai Yang, Buck Battle and Lily Yang who all considered her as family. Such an outpouring of love and support was a true testimony of the kind of person Qing was and how many lives she touched. A special thank you also goes to Dr. Werner, Dr. Gaffney and the team of caregivers at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Rick and Janene Brown, Michelle Richards, and Dr. James Heiner. Qing is survived by her husband, children, (Sandy, Utah(; parents, sister, brother, two nephews and one niece, (China).Viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, SLC, on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
