Rick loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He loved his horses and his beloved dogs. He was a true cowboy. Nothing was better to him than a ride in the hills with family and dear friends.
Rick received his BS and MA in Accounting from the University of Utah- always a Ute fan! He earned his CPA and spent his life in that career.
Rick attended the Naval Officers Candidate School during the Vietnam War, and received his commission working for Admiral James L. Holloway III at the Pentagon.
Rick believed in service to others. He spent many years in the Adopt A Native Elder program, driving food and medicine to the Elders of the Navajo Nation, and bringing back the beautiful woven wool blankets to sell, sharing the spirit of their culture and provide the financial needs of the Elders. This is where Rick met his spiritual brother Rod Begay. Rick touched so many lives.
There will be a small family viewing. Military honors and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
