Robert Bruce McConkey passed away on September 21, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Robert was born to Bruce and Gertrude McConkey in Newark, New Jersey on May 1, 1930. He graduated from Bloomfield High School. He married Glenna Prosser and later divorced. Robert was a Navy Veteran who served during the Korean War. He also was retired from Unisys after more than 30 years. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, sister, former wife Glenna McConkey and son in law Lyle Coon. He is survived by four adoring daughters, Stacey (Kevin) Wright, Linda (Steve) Holm, Janice Coon and Nancy (Chris) Jones; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and faithful companion Max. Services will be held Saturday September 28, 2013 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary located at 3401 S. Highland Drive SLC at 2:00 PM with a viewing at 12:30 PM prior to the service.
