Barber, Mark A. Barber and John R. Barber, and McKae Patterson. He was very proud of all of his family and enjoyed being the patriarch of such clan.
Our father served in the United States Marine Corp, and upon returning home with an Honorable discharge, went to work for Chevrolet (later combined to be General Motors Corporation). He started in the mail room and worked his way up through different management positions to become Western Regional Parts Manager before his retirement. Always the consummate and well dressed gentlemen, our father presented himself with a mixture of pride and humility, and was always extremely moral and trustworthy.
He will truly be sorely missed by his entire family and all who knew him. He was one of “The Good Ones”. We are PROUD to be his family and have been blessed that he was our father and grandpa♥️
A sincere and heartfelt thank you to hospice (Chelsea) and the Visiting Angels (David, Trevan and Mitchell) for having such compassion and love for our daddy.
A special thanks goes out to Brent and Michelle Barber whom helped along the way on a daily basis with our dad’s joyful peaceful, safe and comfortable journey through his aging years.
Due to Robert’s long life, there will only be direct family services.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Humane Society.
