

Ronald George Kartchner, a beloved brother, father, and friend, journeyed from this world on August 5th, 2023, at the age of 61, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was born on January 9th, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to his parents Loris Porter Kartchner and Elizabeth Joan Kartchner. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Ron was a mischievous and spirited soul from the very beginning. Alongside his twin brother, Don, he reveled in youthful pranks and shared escapades that would forever shape his spirit. His childhood in Salt Lake City was adorned with stories of neighborhood friendships and thrilling adventures that showcased his zest for life.
Educational pursuits led him to the University of Utah, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Communications. Ron's thirst for knowledge and personal growth guided him to Westminister College, where he acquired his MBA. His heart forever belonged to the University of Utah, and his devotion to the Ute football team was unwavering; he was a stalwart supporter, never missing a game if he could help it.
Throughout his professional journey, Ron wore various hats, from a diligent delivery man to a skilled salesman and a dedicated training manager. He exuded passion and dedication in all his endeavors, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to work alongside him.
Ron's interests were as diverse as his life's experiences. A fervent basketball player, an aficionado of Mountain Dew, a master of smoked meats, and a gaming companion to his son, Joshua, he found joy in every facet of life. His stock portfolio management skills were matched only by his willingness to dispense advice to anyone who sought it.
With a heart that overflowed with generosity, Ron was known for his corny jokes that could light up a room and his ever-present stash of candy, ready to be shared with anyone in need of a smile. His storytelling prowess was legendary, and he had an uncanny ability to transform strangers into lifelong friends, regardless of circumstance.
Ron is survived by his loving children: Brittany Kartchner, Jacob Kartchner (Stephanie), and Joshua Kartchner. He also leaves behind his loyal canine companion, Henry, and two adored grandchildren. He now reunites with his parents, Loris and Elizabeth, who have gone before him.
A service to honor Ron's memory will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary located at 3401 S. Highland Drive Millcreek, Utah 84106. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation hours from 1:00pm to 2:00pm preceding the service. The interment will take place at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park on Sunday, August 20th, 2023.
In the tapestry of life, Ron's threads were woven with laughter, compassion, and camaraderie. He will forever be etched in our hearts, a beacon of light guiding us through the memories we shared. May he rest in eternal peace.
