Years after returning home to Salt Lake City, Sam became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed cleaning the church on Saturdays, attending church meetings, and home teaching.
Sam enjoyed fishing and camping with his children. As they grew up, he loved camping with his wife at the Spruces. He also enjoyed building classic show cars, and frequently attended and held car shows with Linda. He participated in car clubs and loved chatting with his many friends.
Sam worked hard to provide for his wife and children. After retiring from Kennicot Copper Mine, Sam and Linda opened their dream restaurant, Nifty 50’s. He loved his children, grandchildren, and his two dogs who never left his side.
Sam Schrader is survived by his daughter Robin Hill, sons Kevin and Jason Schrader, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam Schrader Sr. and Rose Schrader, and his wife, Linda Schrader.
