After marrying, she remained in Ogden before moving to Ephraim, Utah. While there, she earned an associate’s degree in business from Snow College. She then lived in Salt Lake City for a short time before settling in Washington, Utah with her husband West where she gained many friends and fell in love with the area. After her husband passed, she moved to Farmington, UT to be closer to her children.
Sharon was a faithful, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life, serving in various capacities whenever called. Her passing was sweet, being called by her Heavenly Father while comfortably sleeping.
Two of Sharon’s greatest joys in life were her family and the time spent at the family cabin. She would hold a family reunion there every summer with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved being there with the people she loved, playing games throughout the day, sharing stories around the campfire, and enjoying the peaceful sound of the river.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was difficult at times, but she was always willing to sacrifice for her family and find opportunities to serve those around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband West, her parents, and her brothers Howard and Lynn. She is survived by her sisters Joyce Lilly, Jean Parker; her brother Lee; her children Carey (Debbie Jean), Randy (Sena), Scott (Judy), Lisa Schow (Jeff), Tracy (Joni), Robin Olson (Larry), and Jeff (Irene) as well as 30 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
