With profound sadness the family of Sherrie Marie Drecksel born February 26, 1947, announces her sudden passing from an undiagnosed medical condition on June 6, 2022 in her home of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born to Walter Norman and Janet Marie Drecksel, Sherrie was the oldest of six children. She was raised in Salt Lake City, graduated from West High School and later Salt Lake Community college.
Seeking adventure, she moved to Northern California where she lived and worked for 17 years which was a highlight of her life. She later returned to Salt Lake to work and reside near her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed studying the gospel, serving in the temple, reading, dancing and spending time with family. Celebrating the milestones and achievements of her grandchildren was a great source of pride for her as posterity held a special place in her heart.
She was fiercely independent and courageous which belied the vulnerable soul within. She found comfort in the love of her Heavenly Father, devoutly believed in the power of forgiveness and the gift of eternal life.
