On February 15, 2026, the lives of Tawnia, 34, and her beloved daughter, Addi, 11, were tragically cut short. Those who knew and loved them are left heartbroken, carrying questions that will forever weigh heavily, but also holding tightly to the beautiful memories they gave us.
Tawnia was born on April 7, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Shane Dean McGeehan and Connie Hope Norman McGeehan. She spent much of her childhood in Park City before moving to West Jordan, Utah, where she graduated from Copper Hills High School in June 2009.
Tawnia’s greatest accomplishment and deepest joy was being Addi’s mom. She centered her entire world around her daughter – proudly volunteering at her school, cheering loudly at every practice and competition, and creating thoughtful gifts and care packages for Addi’s cheer team. She absolutely adored watching Addi shine.
Tawnia had a special gift for capturing life’s moments through picture and videos, preserving memories her family will now treasure forever. She was the one who kept everyone connected – always calling checking in and stepping up without hesitation to support those she loved.
Her life was defined by devotion – to her daughter, her family, and her friends. Though their time here was far too short, the love Tawnia shared will live on in every life she touched.
Tawnia is survived by her parents; Shane McGeehan (Teddi) and Connie McGeehan (Sheldon), Brothers; Justin McGeehan (Tyne) and Scott Cervantes (Ashley), Sisters; Taylor Short (Shane), Angel McGeehan, Nephews: Jayden McGeehan (Maci), Kaisen Gordon, and Niece; Scarlet McGeehan.
Tawnia bravely navigated through years of torment. Her family hopes her memory will inspire greater kindness, compassion, and awareness of the importance of caring for one another.
Services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026. If you would like more details about services, please reach out to family or friends.
