

He was born on September 29, 1947, in LaGrande, Oregon, to Rodney Peterson and Emma Beach. From an early age, Terry loved animals, fishing, and the outdoors. He was known for his quick wit, diligence, and mischief. Throughout his life, he carried himself with strength and determination with a hefty serving of humor. He left an unforgettable impression on those who knew him.
Terry's life is marked by work, service, family, faith, adventure, and resilience. He found purpose and meaning in his love of family and his faith. He worked for the U.S. Navy as an E5 radio operator in the anti-submarine air core. Retired from Utah Power/Rocky Mtn Power as a Substation Foreman. Outside of work, he enjoyed his dogs, fast cars, motorcycles, and all aspects of the outdoor life.
He was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a true friend to many. We will remember his laugh, his stories, his advice, the way he showed up, his toughness, his quiet caring, and his humor.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his five children, four bonus children and all of their amazing spouses who he also considered his children, a brother, Steven Holley, and sister Sandra Sergent. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Clifford and Frank. Two Bonus children: Brandon Ballard and Heidi Dunkley.
A funeral/memorial service will be held on July 7th at 12:00 pm. Smithfield 7th Ward, 79 East 200 South, 84335. A viewing/visitation will be held 10:00-11:30 am. Interment will follow at Smithfield cemetery.
Though he will be deeply missed, his life continues in the memories, laughter, lessons, and love he leaves behind.
