Born the second child of Mike and Cleo Fuessel, Terry loved fishing, country music, and solid dad joke. Never the formal kind, you would most often find him donning a flannel shirt, jeans, and boots. The only time he would get gussied up was to support his family. His wife, Teri and three children knew that when a church activity or event required, he would come in a suit, a quirky tie, and his flying pig tie clip. While not always the chattiest person in the room, he often had the biggest heart, supporting his loved ones however he could. He proudly worked at the SL Airport for many years and enjoyed his time transporting mail around SL city. But he was most proud of his children, doing all he could to ensure that they were able to engage in their various activities. From choir performances to plays, he was always there wearing a proud smile.
He was proceeded in death by parents as well as his kitties and puppies Rusty, Charlie, and Kesha. He is survived by wife Teri, his children Dianna (Ben), Maria (Jeff), and Kenton along with grandchildren Elsie and Keith. The family would like to express deepest appreciation to Andrew Pellat, MD and his team for the excellent care they provided. They would also like to convey deepest gratitude to the Intermountain Hospice team for aiding him in completing his earthly journey. And special thanks to Brian and Chico for showing what lifelong friendship looks like by adding sunshine to his final weeks with their consistent visits and smiles. How lucky we are to have been loved by Terry.
Graveside services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary in Salt Lake City on Saturday, June 14 at 1100 am. A celebration of life will follow at the Forestview Ward (1111 Charlton Ave SLC UT 84106). As Terry was never an overly formal person, we ask that all come dressed casually. Be sure to bring favorite memories and jokes to share. Thanks to all who have supported the family during this time of loss.
