Tonya Louise Pettit

Tonya was born May 26, 1966, to Jerald and Phyllis Alexander Rich. She graduated from West Jordan High School in 1984. She began working at the age of 16 and has been a hard-working, dedicated employee, at various jobs, ever since. She was currently employed at Teva. She enjoyed camping, boating, Mesquite sunshine but most important was spending time with family especially her two wonderful grandsons that she adored. She was affectionally called Bae Bae by her grandson, Brody. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and Friend. She will truly be missed.

Tonya was preceded in death by her Father, Jerald, when she was only 12 years old. She was also preceded in death by a sister, BeckyLynn, her grandparents Kenneth and Laree Alexander and Jay and Sarah Rich, as well as Jazzmin her longtime furbaby. A happy reunion is taking place.

Tonya is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kevin Pettit, her beautiful daughters, Shae (Hunter) McNeill and Breean Pettit, her mother, Phyllis, sister Wendy (Terry) Hunt, grandsons Brody and Tucker, in-laws Lynn and Marion Pettit, brother-in-laws Jeff (Julie) Pettit and Chad (Michelle) Pettit, nieces and nephews as well as her fur children Jemma and Bella. Our hearts our broken for our sudden loss.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the ICU and Hospice staff at IMC in Murray, Utah for their kindness and support during this extremely difficult time.

A celebration of Tonya’s life will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106.
