Born in St. Albans, Vermont, Tracie grew up on the family farm, where she learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and dedication. She was also fortunate to be raised with the love and guidance of her seven aunts, who played an important role in shaping the woman she became. Over the years, those relationships grew into bonds more like sisters, lasting a lifetime.
On October 5, 2002, Tracie married Matthew W. Lipscomb. Together, they shared 24 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Tracie welcomed Matt’s son, Ryan, as her own family and embraced Ryan’s good friend, Kenzon, as a second son. She understood that family is not defined by blood alone, but by the love, loyalty, and care we give one another.
Tracie built an impressive career spanning more than 30 years in radio, cable, television, and digital advertising. She eventually found her professional home in digital sales, spending her final 14 years and seven months with DDM/KSL. A tenacious, dedicated professional, Tracie cared deeply about her clients and built relationships that extended far beyond business. Many became lifelong friends. Even throughout her illness, she continued working and caring for her clients until just three weeks before her passing—a remarkable reflection of her determination, commitment, and strong work ethic.
Tracie is survived by her loving husband, Matt; her stepson, Ryan; her mother, Sherie Diane Gregory; and her many aunts, uncles, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Joseph “Moe” Tarte, and her stepfather, Joseph Daniel Gregory.
A Message from Matt
In lieu of flowers, please take someone special out to a nice lunch or dinner. Put your phone away, share a few laughs, and tell them how much they mean to you. Life is precious, and we should never assume we have more time.
And, with love and respect to all women, please make time for your annual mammogram. Early detection matters, and I would never want another family to experience what ours has endured.
I am deeply grateful to both Tracie’s employer and mine for their patience, kindness, and understanding throughout this difficult time. To the oncology teams, surgeons, nurses, and especially Dr. Saundra Buys at Huntsman Cancer Institute, thank you for caring for Tracie and doing everything you could for my person. Your compassion will never be forgotten.
Because Tracie was a private person, she will not have a traditional funeral. Instead, we will celebrate her life, the relationships she cherished, and the memories she leaves behind.

I would love for those who knew Tracie to share a favorite memory, a funny story, or a moment that captures who she was. These memories would mean more to me than words can express and will help keep her spirit alive in all of us.
Tracie’s cremation arrangements are being handled by the caring staff at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106.
Tracie was my person, my partner, and the love of my life. I will forever be grateful for the years we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the love that will always be a part of me. She leaves a place in my heart that no one else could ever fill, and I will carry her with me always.
