

Vivian Ann Hale Donaldson passed away April 4 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born April 27, 1944 in Centreville, Wilkinson County, Mississippi to Pvt. Lewis Van Hale, Jr. and Annie Mozella Rye, she left Mississippi at the age of 3 months when her parents relocated back to Florida. She lived in Florida until her late teens and then moved to California. From California she took the opportunity of going on a work exchange program to London, England where she met her husband Barry and married him in Johannesburg, South Africa. They went on their honeymoon to Rhodesia, stayed there for a while and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salisbury, Rhodesia. After another stay in South Africa, and a few months in England they boarded the SS Canberra on its round the world cruise and disembarked at Port Everglades, Florida and from there to Salt Lake City where they resided for 33 years. Survived by husband Barry, aunts and cousins and two younger brothers, Buddy (Pat) of Jacksonville, and Danny (Lynette) of Daytona Beach, Florida, and her cat Archie, whom she adopted after the death of her cat Bengal. She had many Church callings and her fondest memories were in the Primary organization. Friends and family may gather together to remember Vivian at 10 a.m.–11.45 a.m. prior to Funeral Services to being held Saturday, April 12, at the Little Cottonwood 16th Ward, 6350 South Rodeo Lane, Murray at 12 noon. Interment at Corinth Cemetery, Madison, Florida.
