Troy was an accomplished musician, artist, and goldsmith. From an early age he had a pencil in his hand drawing whatever came to mind, often caricatures or cars. He honed this skill and created some amazing works. This talent for art led him to a lifelong passion of creating beautiful jewelry that adorn the hands and necks of hundreds of people in and out of the family.
As a musician he began by playing the trumpet and could play many other brass instruments. He taught himself how to play guitar, specifically the bass and loved playing all kinds of music and was involved in many bands over the years. There was always music playing for just about anything he was doing. When he was not working or playing music, you could find him on a race track with another passion, motorcycles. His adventurous, no fear spirit found solace on a straight-away doing 150 miles per hour.
Troy was someone you could always count on for help. He took care of his wife Trina throughout their marriage and during the times she had been the most ill. They met in seventh grade and had a crush on each other through Junior High and High School, but Troy was too chicken to ask her out. One day Troy walked her home from school and Trina invited him into the garage to see her dad’s cherry red corvette where they shared their first kiss. Twenty-seven years after they each went their different ways, they reconnected through Facebook. Soulmates, they were married in 2014.
All who have had an association with Troy will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary located at 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106.
