

Yvette Maxine Thomas Goins was born in Salt Lake City Utah to George Thomas and Alice C. Ellis Thomas Green. She married Harry Lewis Goins who passed away in 1975. She was preceded in death by three sisters one brother and one son. Yvette lived a full productive and satisfying life of loyalty, dependability, dedication, organization, and lifelong friendships, all of which, have been the highlights of her life.
Yvette graduated from Stevens-Henagar Business College. Shortly after, she accepted the position as secretary for the Granite School District. There she won secretary of the year for her dedication on the job and outstanding leadership, and influence on others. She served as president of the head start program and president of the Advisory Council and many other activities at the Sunday Anderson Senior Center. She assisted in the computer room with beginning computer and genealogy. She had many hobbies. One of her favorites was creating Bonka Japanese artwork, many of which, she gave to her children, grandchildren, and friends. She enjoyed swimming and exercised daily. She was a spiritual and faithful member of the Central Seventh-day Adventist church and served in many positions. She was the historian and enjoyed writing the history of the church and the genealogy of her family.
She is survived by her children, Wadell Goins, Patrice Goins Boyd, (Danny), Billy Goins (Valerie), seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Max, God saw that you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He wrapped His arms around you and whispered “come unto Me“.
