Yvonne Moffat

1925—2015

Today heaven received the greatest angel ever, our beautiful mother. She was born June 12, 1925 to Mabel and Leonard Kling. She was the little sister to Dorothy Shearer “Sisters Forever.” Our mother passed away surrounded by her family on February 6, 2015. Survived by her three children, Steve (Barb) Moffat, Jeff (Sherry) Moffat and Debra (Rich) Quayle; 12 grandchildren, Holly, Kelly, Mystie, Kassie, Cortney, Sasha, Jade, Tawni, Tory, Ashley, Jay and Brandon; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law, Eileen (John) Orton. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ralph Morrel Moffat (November 11, 1992). Our mother’s greatest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She was the best mother and nana anyone could ask for. Thank you, Dad, for choosing her to be our mom. She lived years longer than our father and missed him so much—we are so glad they are now once again in each other’s arms. Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 12pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 S. Highland Dr.). There will be a viewing Tuesday night at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary from 6-8pm and one hour prior to graveside services Wednesday. We want to share our appreciation to everyone that helped along the way: Margarita and Darren Wilkins and family, Rocky Mountain Hospice for taking such good care of our mom for the last three years and CareSource for making her final days so peaceful and beautiful.
